Halloween 2009

Just a quick update...we had a great Halloween. It was a very busy week, but both the boys had a really good time. David dressed up as a Clone Trooper from Star Wars and Daniel was a monkey. They both were super cute! Just wanted to share some pictures of their costumes and also some extras!

Mr. Daniel Doodah

Yes, we still call him Doodah. It's a nickname that has stuck! Even David calls him that 99% of the time! And honestly, he answers to Doodah much better than Daniel! Eeek! :) He is one sweet child. I know I am a little prejudice, but here goes...he is just precious. He loves, loves, loves to give kisses and hugs. Daniel almost always has a smile on his face, even when he is mad, you can often get him to smile! He is a momma's boy through and through, but loves his daddy with all he has! He wants to be just like big brother and do whatever big brother is doing. Daniel also LOVES animals. Garrett is his favorite. He is with Garrett all the time and is always looking for him when they are apart. Garrett gets the 1st kiss goodnight. He loves ants, spiders, squirrels, the neighbors cats, Granna and Pops dog, and any animal he sees...even the butterflies at the library. He isn't talking much yet, but understands everything you say to him. He is funny and loves to make us laugh. David and Daniel both get that from their daddy! :) David is so good with him (most of the time) and really likes to teach him new things...like using the potty and dunking in the bathtub! I think potty training for this one will be super easy! :)
He is the best snuggler and I am just so in love with this boy. Daniel is such a precious gift and we just love him so!! Here are some pictures of our little Doodah!

All about DAVID!

This post is all about my big boy, David! He's had a lot going on lately and I realized by looking through my camera, that most of my pictures are of him and the new stages of life that he is experiencing! He started back to preschool the beginning of August and is now in the 4 year old class. He loves school! He goes 5 days a week for 3 hrs a day and he is always excited about going! What a relief! Mr. David is such a momma's boy, but he is really branching out, making friends, and loving life! We are so proud of David and the young man that he is becoming. He loves being around other children and is quite the entertainer!

David also recently started playing soccer. He loves it too! He was very nervous at first, but after getting the hang of it, he is really enjoying himself. So far, he's played 2 games and he scored his first goal at his 2nd game. He really tries hard and has a great time!

It's hard to believe how fast this little man is growing up. He is getting so tall and really looks and acts like a big kid now!!

The pictures are of all kinds of things...first day of preschool, field trip to a creek, soccer, and just David being David!!! Stay tuned for an upcoming post all about Daniel! :)

Way behind...

That's the story of my life lately. I seem to be way behind more than I am ever ahead or even on time anymore, but such is the life with 2 growing boys! I did want to go ahead and post a couple more summer pics from our 2nd beach trip before I start updating you with pics from the fall. We were able to go to Hilton Head with Pops, Granna, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Andrew, Aunt Abby, and Cousin Lilly back in July. The boys had a fabulous time and so did I! Matt and Uncle A.D. weren't able to join us because they were both working and we missed them. I do think Pops and Granna enjoyed seeing all 3 of their grandchildren playing at the beach. We were all very grateful to Aunt Sarah's parents for allowing us to stay at their beach home. These are some of my favorite pictures from our trip!

More Summer Fun

We have had such a fun summer, it is hard to believe it coming to an end!!! David starts back to preschool next week and he is very excited! However, Mommy is having a hard time because it is his last year in preschool...eek! My boy is growing up! And I hate to even think about how much Daniel is going to miss David while he is at school. He will be lost without him, yet be soaking up all Mommy's attention!

We have been extra busy and on the go! Here are all the things we did this summer:
Beach (2 times!)
Camping
Dollywood (2 times!)
Zoo
Granny Bryant's house
Wetland's Water Park
Storytime/Summer Reading Program
Weekly park play dates with our buddies
VBS
2 Birthday Parties at our house!
Hiking
Children's Museum multiple times

And as much time outside at home that we could...it's been a rainy summer, but we've even played in the rain! :)

It has been a wonderfully blessed summer and we are so thankful for all the memories we have made. And of course, my wallet is going to be hurting after developing all the pictures I took! They are worth every penny though!

Happy Birthday David!!

4th Birthday

3rd Birthday

2nd Birthday

1st Birthday

4 weeks old

4 years old. Wow. How did that happen? We are just amazed considering it honestly seems like just yesterday he entered the world! We love David with all that is within us and we are so thankful God brought him into our lives 4 years ago!

He had a very fun party at our house this past weekend and it was a delight to have so many of our friends and family there to celebrate David. The highlight of the party was a pinata. He was very excited about that and his friends seemed to love it too!

David had a wonderful birthday today too! He requested breakfast in bed (I might have given him the idea since I wouldn't mind having that for MY birthday!). Pancakes, pop tarts, and blueberries! Yum! We then went to Fazoli's for lunch (per his request again). We enjoyed a family nap, then headed to the local water park for a fun afternoon! Daddy grilled out steaks for dinner, he had ice cream for dessert, and lots of kisses and hugs all day! I told him I hope every birthday he has is as fun as today has been!

David will go for his 4 year old check up next week, so I don't have his weight and height stats, but here are some things about our precious 4 year old!

Favorite Food: Chicken nuggets, fruit of any kind, and ice cream!
Favorite Book: Bible...David loves reading his bible stories!
Favorite Show: Tom and Jerry
Favorite Movie: Star Wars (he is very obsessed right now!)

David LOVES being outside. Grandpops, Daddy, Uncle Adam, and Uncle Andy are building David a fort in our backyard and I know when it is built, we will remain outside the rest of the summer! He is REALLY good at riding his bike now (still has training wheels). He also loves playing ball!

David is a busy boy who loves making us laugh. He actually thinks of new ways to make Daniel laugh daily. He loves being with people and other boys and girls. He is smart, smart, smart. He asks questions that I often don't have the answer to. He loves school and misses it this summer. He is still a Mommy's baby and Daddy's best buddy. He can have the smartest mouth, and yet the sweetest grin all at the same time. He wears us out, yet gives us life.

We simply adore David and who he is and who he is becoming. We are so thankful God gave us the opportunity to be his parents and pray daily that we can raise him up to not just know God, but to dearly love him.

We love you precious boy...Happy Birthday!

Beach Trip

Yes, I am wayyy behind. But my excuse is simple, we are having too much fun! We have been so busy this summer doing so many fun things! And we still have 2 trips and a birthday party to go! WooHoo!

At any rate, we started out our summer with a bang! We headed to Holden Beach! Grandma and Papaw Keller have been looking forward to this trip for a long time, and we all had a blast! Thanks Grandma and Papaw!

Daniel LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the beach. He was in love with the sand, shells, birds, and ocean. He was super precious walking on the beach and also "crab crawling." His 1st trip to the beach was so much fun!

David LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the swimming pool at the house! :) He was like a fish in the water from sunrise to sunset, literally. He also liked the sand and being buried in it!

Matt and I also had a great time as well and even had a date night! There is just something so very humbling about the ocean to me. I feel it every time I stand in the presence of the ocean. The ocean is so grand, wide, full of wonder, and yet, our God loves me more. How is that? Thank you God for loving me and thank you for making the beautiful ocean and beach.

We are already excited about our next trip to the beach...the little boys and I will be headed to Hilton Head with the other grandparents very soon! Yippee!

Here are some pics of our wonderful time!!
