My Baby

Although he doesn't look like it, this little boy is my baby! I just marvel at how much he has changed and how fast he has grown. The past (almost)3 years have been wonderful. They have fulfilled me in a way I never knew was possible. Being a mommy is my favorite job ever! And my love for him grows everyday. It is unconditional! He has even reminded me of that...once he had done something to upset me and I told him Mommy was upset. He simply said..."but you will be happy in the end." And he is right...it QUICKLY reminded me of Jesus' love and how I must upset him SOOOO often, but he still LOVES me unconditionally. I am so blessed to be taught lessons about Jesus from a 2 year old!

As we approach Baby Daniel's arrival, I am more and more aware of how big my first baby has gotten. However, no matter what, he will always be my baby. I am already praying that my future daughter in law will understand that...because there is no doubt Mr David is a Mommy's boy! :) As I am sure Baby Daniel will be too! And at the same time, it is marvelous to watch the bond grow between Matt and David. We are truly blessed by David...I know I say that all the time, but he really is such a gift from above!

Farm Days!

NC State recently held "Farm Days" free to the public. We took David and had a great time!! He was able to see and touch lots of farm animals. He loved all the animals, especially the baby chicks! However, his most favorite part of the event were the tractors. He waited VERY PATIENTLY in line for all 4 of them and climbed up to "drive" like a pro. They even provided free ice cream, which made David a very happy boy! It was a fun day for sure!

Best of Friends

David and Garrett really are the best of friends. Sometimes I wonder why Garrett adores David the way he does...David seems to terrorize him most days. But, Garrett seems to have an unconditional love for David. He always wants to be around him, sleeps in David's bed with him, and is so gentle and patient with David. For 3 years now, I have been able to catch the 2 of them engaged in "window watching." Of course, this year is hard to find the 2 of them sitting still at any point in the day. They were watching and waiting for Daddy to come home, they both love that part of the day! I am so in love with both of those boys and just can't wait to add another precious little man to our house!

1st Catch!!

We have a little fisherman on our hands!! We were able to go and see some friends of ours in West End, NC (they live in Myrtle Beach...we met there) and David and Matt had the opportunity to go fishing. David was very excited about his Cars fishing pole and wanted to fish the moment we got there. It was a great 1st fishing experience as the fish were very eager to be caught! :) David got the hang of it quick and wanted to fish "by himself" the rest of the day. We had a great time with friends and experiencing new things with Mr. David.
