Preparing for Life and Enjoying Life

We are busy preparing for Baby Daniel's arrival. We are excited and can't believe he will be here soon! David has been keeping us entertained with stories of Baby Daniel being in HIS belly. He also loves to cuddle my belly and talk baby-talk to Baby Daniel. He is very free with his kisses to Baby Daniel...we hope he keeps that up after he arrives! :) David and Matt worked on getting the crib set up and his room ready to go. Now I have to get busy washing clothes! Although, it is bittersweet for me. It seems like just yesterday David was wearing those same newborn outfits. Time really flies. And we notice daily how fast he is growing and changing. He's getting really tall and he just isn't a baby anymore. Although, he will always be mommy's baby!

We are also enjoying these random days of warm, Spring weather. David has always been an outside boy, so being cooped up all winter makes us all ready to get outside and play! Granna, Aunt Sarah, Aunt Karyn, Aunt Abby, and Cousin Lilly came for a visit last weekend and we had a great time with them too! We are sure to have plenty of visitors over the next couple of months...which we are so blessed by! I am DONE traveling until after Baby Daniel arrives. As much as we love to travel to TN, my aching back can't take it anymore! :)

One quick story about Mr. David...the other night he and I were in his bed reading stories and saying his bedtime prayer. After I finished saying the prayer, he asked me "Where is Jesus?" I told him Jesus lives in our hearts and also in heaven. He kept asking (I am sure just not understanding). I told him again that Jesus lives in a beautiful place called Heaven and that he watches over us and takes care of us. David sat quietly for a minute pondering what I told him. Then his response was "Jesus is mowing his grass. His lawn mower is gray." :) Yes, this boy is obsessed with lawn mowers and has been for quite sometime. I agreed with him and told him Jesus has the most beautiful grass ever! He was happy with the conversation and rolled over and went to bed. I am glad he has an image of Jesus in his mind now. And I look forward to many more conversations about our great Savior!

I remember having the SAME conversation with Brendan when he was two. The fruit of that is salvation at a young age.... ptl. What a wonderful thought. I'm sure the Lord loves riding his lawn mower (gray) and enjoying HIS light. Love you.
