O.k., so I am a little behind in posting this, but I still wanted to share the pictures from my little Doodah's big day! What a celebration it was! We had 35 of our closest friends and family over to celebrate his 1st birthday! That little man is LOVED! He had a great time, enjoyed the attention, LOVED the cake, and was a sweetie the whole time. What a joyful day it was and we are so thankful for everyone who was there to help make it so special for our precious gift from above.
As you can tell from the pics, he LOVED his cake. He was just precious eating it too! By the way, the yellow high chair is now a family heirloom! :) All the McElroy children have had their 1st bday in that chair (my 5 siblings and I)...and now David and Daniel too!
Daniel's 1 yr old STATS:
Weight: 18 pounds (just barely...yes, he's tiny and tall!)
Height: 30 1/2 inches
Favorite Book: any and all Touch and See books, especially the ones with a dog in them!
Favorite Food: Fruit, but that little man will eat ANYTHING. Seriously, I don't get why he's sooo tiny! He's the best eater!
Favorite Toy: anything with wheels. Loves his little ride along car that plays music!
Favorite Thing to do: Go for walks, be outside, eat...preferably, all at the same time.
Words: Dada, Daa Daa (David), Mama, bite, Uh Oh (sweetest sound), Here, Bye Bye, and Hi!
Loves to listen for trains and make train sounds. Loves to smile at any and everyone. Loves to be tickled, chased by big brother, and is an overall completely joyful child. Loves Baby Einstein movies, books, and music. He absolutely LOVES Garrett and all dogs.
This little man has really made a beautiful addition to our family! We are so very thankful to our Heavenly Father that he chose Daniel for us and we pray daily we can raise him up in the way he should go. What a beautiful, wonderful, crazy year this has been. This little man has already lived in 3 homes and adjusted well to all the many changes in our lives. He is simply adorable and I am super proud he is ours!
