Ho Ho Ho!

Our little Santa lights up our lives..he is a true delight!

We pray this Holiday season finds our friends and family healthy and happy. It is hard to believe 2007 is almost over...it has been a wonderful year. David has just grown leaps and bounds and makes our everyday a delight. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives and we are looking forward to our new addition as well. Reflecting back on this last year makes me realize how truly blessed we are. God provides in so many ways. My dream (even as a child) was to be a stay at home mom. I am truly thankful for each and everyday that I am able to be home to watch my child grow and learn. I love being his "teacher" and I love experiencing all the new things with him. While we may not be rich in wordly eyes, we are rich in God's blessings. God has provided time and time again and we are so thankful for his intervention because if not for him, we would be so lost. Matt continues to enjoy his job as a police officer, which has surprised even him. It's amazing what God's will is compared to ours, uh?

We look ahead to 2008 with great anticipation. God has changes in store for our family! We are already preparing ourselves for the addition of Baby K2 in May. We look forward to meeting this precious one and sharing Baby K2 with all of you. We don't know what else God has in store for us, but we are praying we follow his will regardless. Sometimes our hearts desires consume us, but we want 2008 to be a year where God's desires consume us.

We pray we all can remember just why we are celebrating this season. God sending Jesus to earth is by far the greatest gift of all. It is such a joy to teach David about Baby Jesus this year, but I pray we don't forget to share him with others as well.

Merry Christmas to each of you. We love you, pray for you, and are so thankful for you.

Change

Fall is upon us and we are once again reminded that change is good and can be a beautiful thing. When the leaves begin changing, I am reminded that my heart can and NEEDS to change too. It can turn softer and more compassionate towards those hurting and in need. It can overflow with love and thanksgiving for my many blessings and my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I pray daily that I am open to the changes God has in store for me and our family.

Speaking of change...We take a yearly pic with Mr. David in our backyard in the fall. Boy has he changed since 2005!

Sweeeeet

David was such a cute turtle for Halloween. He was "Squirt" from Finding Nemo. Halloween Night was the 1st time he would put the costume on, so I didn't even know if it would fit. But, after I explained to him the process of trick or treating...he was all about it and was ready to go around 4:30pm!! LOL! We went to a few houses in the neighborhood (15 to be exact) and David kept saying, "Just 2 more houses, okay Mommy." He was "TOTALLY" cute!!

Pumpkin Patch

Nothing like going to the pumpkin patch in shorts and a t-shirt! :) Mr. David really enjoyed the pumpkin patch this year. And I have to admit, Matt and I did too. It was fun! :)

Fair Fun

We enjoyed a fun day at the fair last week. David is at the perfect age to take it all in too. He loved all the animals, rides, food, and tractors. We actually got rained on some, but we are just thankful for the rain, so no complaints here. Mr. David is a country boy at heart, we need to live on a farm! :)

Baby K2

We were able to see Baby K2 again yesterday!! Everything looks great and the sweet baby is already a squirmy wormy!! Heartbeat was great and it looks like my due date is May 19, 2008. We are very excited about this sweet one and pray daily for its health. David went with us, but as soon as the dr. walked into the room, he freaked! Dr. Alvarez made him a chicken balloon out of a glove, and he thought that was cool! :)

We also got great news...as of right now, they are planning for me to deliver in Raleigh, rather than switching me to high risk at Duke. We pray this stays the same throughout the pregnancy. We love this group of Dr's and the convience of NOT having to drive to Durham. Although, we know whatever happens is in God's hands and we will just follow his lead.

New Addition!!

Yes, we are adding to our family! David will be a big brother in May 2008. We are very excited and so thankful! Please pray for a healthy baby! We'll keep you updated!

Of course, David isn't quite old enough to understand what is going on...but I am somewhat thankful for that because he is much too impatient to wait 7 more months to meet his baby sibling!! :)

Trip to Granny's!

We just got home from a lovely visit with my Granny. David loves his Great Granny Bryant and he was so excited to go see her! She lives in West TN, so it is quite the trip for us from NC! We went with Aunt Sarah, Lilly, and Daddy. Uncle A.D. had Army training, so he couldn't come with us. We had a wonderful time. Granny Bryant is so spirited for her age and can cook some great food!! :) David loved being outside and in the country, so did Lilly Bug!

Mom's Morning Out!!!

Mr. David started Mom's Morning Out last wednesday! This program is a God Send for us! It is a CO-OP program ran by a local Methodist church where the mom's take turns "working" and by doing so, we only have to pay $1.00 a day. Yes, Just $1.00 a day. He goes 2 times a week for 3 hours at a time. He loves it because he gets to eat snack AND lunch!! David is a big Momma's boy and it is hard for him to be away, but at the same time, he LOVES being around other boys and girls. I happened to "work" it this past week and it warmed my heart to see David interacting with other children. If one was upset, he would hug them. He would tell them "mom be right back, okay." He is such a sweet boy. We are thankful for this program and the price!!! :) However, it is crazy to think he is already big enough to go to "preschool." He calls it "Daybed's preschool." :)

Cruise

Matt and I just got back from a wonderful week of vacation! We went to Grand Cayman and Cozumel on our anniversary cruise. We had a wonderful time!! David stayed with both sets of grandparents in TN and did great as well. He was so excited to see us on Sat, but by Monday morning, he wanted to go BACK to TN with his Grandma and Papaw! We are getting back into the swing of things around here and David starts his MMO program tomorrow...he is so excited! Here are a few pics of our trip...God is so good, he has created some BEAUTIFUL things!

Couldn't Resist!!

First of all, it is just too hot for clothes lately! :) Secondly, isn't he the cutest thing you have ever seen? This is how David greeted Daddy the other day when he got home from work. By the way, we aren't 100% potty trained, just practicing. But, he does love his Elmo undies!

5 years!

Matt and I just celebrated our 5th anniversary on August 3rd! What a joy it is to be married to your best friend! In some ways, it just seems like yesterday that we were standing in front of the church exchanging vows, but in other ways, that already seems like a lifetime ago! I guess having children does that to you! :) Matt and I often joke about our first year of marriage being the "Easy Life." Our bills were low (our house payment only $355!!), we were in school, and we didn't have children! Ha Ha! Now, I would say we describe it as "The Great Life." We see God's work in our lives and see the blessings he has given us. David and Garrett are such entertainment for us and we love the little guys so much. We are constantly in prayer (especially here lately..thanks to the preacher's wonderful sermons) that our faith continues to grow and that we follow God's will for our lives.

At any rate, we had a good anniversary weekend. We were able to spend some time with Matt's Aunt and Uncle at their lake house and we all had a great time just relaxing. Now Matt and I are gearing up for our big cruise the end of this month. We are looking forward to spending time alone together, but David is already looking forward to spending time with Grandparents even more!!

Notice our goofy picture of Garrett? He was in the garage when we had a housefull of company for David's party. He didn't want to miss the action, so decided sticking his head through the cat door would at least let him see the action!

Increased Conversation at the Keller home

Matt was calling David the other day to come out of his bedroom and into the living room. The conversation went like this, "DAAAVVVIIIDD" and David said "WHAT?!? Playing cars." Duh Dad, too busy to come out there! :)

He is talking up a storm lately, it is like turning 2 turned on his vocabulary in a way we never though possible (he was already a chatterbox.) Our little brave boy now says "Hey ___ (fill in the blank with Mom, Dad, whoever), Look at me!" This is being said RIGHT before he does something dangerous like stand on his riding toy or something. Famous last words, right?

Our favorite thing to hear (besides "I love you") is David saying the dinner prayer with us. I tear up watching him and listening to him. Oh to have the child-like faith again. And our prayer is that we can teach him of God's unconditional love and grace. David already teaches us of his wonderful miracles and love!

Our baby is 2!!!

Our sweet David turned 2 on 7/13! It is hard to believe it has already been 2 years since we were blessed with meeting him for the first time. He had a great birthday party! Both sets of grandparents were able to come, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends were there. It truly was a blast. And it was a joy watching David understand the excitement around HIS big day!

We are so blessed beyond words for this little man. He is growing up so fast, but we are enjoying every minute (except the tantrum moments!) He makes us laugh and warms our hearts daily. He is quite the talker and there is never a dull moment. We look forward to what the future brings as much as we look back and enjoy the memories of the past 2 years!
